How can I get the water out of the carpet?
June 13th, 2010 | by admin |Evelyn asked:
It’s been raining a lot lately and water is leaking onto the floor in my basement. Unfortunately, it’s carpeted. I turned the dehumidifier on high, but it isn’t helping. I tried soaking it up with towels, but it just keeps coming. There aren’t any puddles, just wet carpet and it’s travelling across the floor. Any thoughts that don’t involve ripping out the carpet?

You could try a blow dryer or heat gun to get the moisture out, and then let the dehumidifier condense it.
