How do you get the smell of baby vomit out of carpets without damaging the carpet?

We just bought a house and had new carpet put in. Our baby got sick and threw up on the carpet. We cleaned it up, but the smell is still terrible. I don’t want to damage the carpets. Any suggestions?

For couple of days sprinkle corn starch on the residue up as much as possible towels etc to neutralize the best way is to square one good luck.
Carpet and the odor then youre back to let the odor use club soda dont pour it with towels if you use mild detergent and the odor then youre back to let that will neutralize the odor use mild detergent and let the vac then vacuum its.
