How do I make carpet stair treads out of my carpet remnants?

February 25th, 2010 | by admin |
Elaine asked:

I have a large piece of carpet remnant and want to use it to cover my wooden basement stairs. If I cut the remnant into small pieces, how to I prevent the edges from fraying? I looked at bonding tape, but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to go. Any suggestions?
